Last week, the WeVue team was in Redwood, CA just outside of San Francisco at the Startup Grind 2016 Global Conference sharing their insights on company culture.
So what is Startup Grind?
“Startup Grind is the largest independent startup community, actively educating, inspiring, and connecting 215,000 founders in over 185 cities. We nurture startup ecosystems in 70 countries through events, media, and partnerships with organizations like Google for Entrepreneurs. ”
While we were there, we interviewed some of the sponsors and startups to learn how they view company culture, and we used WeVue to crowdsource and compile these interviews.
Not living in San Francisco, we can forget how much of the culture there is built around innovation and collaboration. There is a bold belief that anyone with the right attitude can build a company that can disrupt the status quo…
They just need the tools and skills to cultivate a team around them that believes in their mission and vision.
What we didn’t find were many companies that were engaging their employees in photo and video sharing.
We have a firm belief that while people engage on platforms like Facebook and Snapchat through photo and video sharing, companies that encourage their employees to share photos and videos can and do create more compelling cultures.
If you’re interested in connecting people around vision, values, stories, and creating a culture that drives performance, innovation, and collaboration we’d love to chat with you. Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or click the button below to schedule a free consultation.
WeVue is a culture machine that pulls team members in to share videos like the ones we gathered this weekend and lets your communication teams share those stories across internal communication tools or external social and marketing channels.
